Some of the work that was done for the company EnviroGroup. This included posters for events and DL Flyers for mailboxes.
At the same time designs were necessary for a kids flyer.
The brief included the need to market the new range of toys and products that were both environmentally friendly and fun for the kids.

With a new environmental scheme coming up we had to design a new brochure explaining the difference services that the company provided; Solar Panels, Solar Hot Water, Efficient Lighting and Eco-Friendly Products. Apart from marketing for home users the target audience that this brochure was targeted for was the commercial market.

Magazine Cover
The word enviro encompassed the simplicity and classiness of the possibilities that sustainability had to offer. With the target market being the middle class I wanted to use minimalism and simplicity to grab their attention. By using clear and modern fonts I was able to produce a design that was consistent with the general feel of the target market. With the help of powerful photography
I was able to enhance the message that I wanted to send out with the magazine.

The need and potential for passion and direction in the lives of the homeless is necessary. With the number of organizations providing different beneficial services such as financial, provisional, social and healthcare, many are still victims of the vicious cycle that is homelessness.
Since the early 90s the reasons for homelessness have been growing through the help of research; unhappy families, poor performance at school, low skill sets, unstable relationships, involvement with crime and rising prices. Whatever the cause may be, the effect is homelessness and with that effect comes the loss of self-confidence and passion in the lives of the victimized. So how do we solve this problem?
The H-Factor aims at providing a platform for the homeless to use their skills and talents to get their lives back on track rather than relying on the donations or the help from the government. We believe that this service can both bridge the gap between the homeless and the general public as well as provide channels and opportunities to bring the homeless out of the vicious cycle.
The performing arts and television have always been stepping stones for many Australians to build successful and legendary careers, bringing average human beings to stardom and becoming household names. This is where the homeless come into perspective, we believe through the performing arts and television we will be able to bring the perceived to be below average homeless man/woman to a stage where he/she can shine and provide inspiration to others like him/her.
Lets take Australia’s Got Talent contestant Fiona Mariah for example. Her life is a good example to many homeless women and single mothers as she decided to use her amazing ability to sing and perform on the street of Perth when her life is at the lowest point. Many stars like William Shatner, Sylvester Stallone and Hilary Swank have all experienced homelessness and used the performing arts to escape that situation.
The structure of this service will incorporate a reality show and a website. It will also provide the homeless with personality tests that would identify their strengths and potentials. This doesn’t just revolve around the performing arts scene. The idea is not just about finding jobs for homeless people but to bridge gaps and increase passion and self-confidence among the community.
There is a proverb, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” This proverb sums up the principal of this idea. To educate and provide the right tools and find the best possible fit for the homeless into the society.

Design and Music have always been two of my biggest passions; Being a designer has helped me understand the way the world works and how each industry uses design to bring everything together cohesively. Music on the other hand has been “THE” great passion, singing with choirs and bands as well as understanding the theory and history of music allows me to watch as it evolves constantly to entertain our ever-changing society.
As a designer and musician I have started to take interest in how both art forms affect us humans and our behaviours. How a song or a piece of art can bring about different emotions and behaviours in different people. Therefore I propose to research on the following topic.
The National Environment Agency of Singapore (NEA) organises annually ECO Music Challenge, an initiative for songwriters to compose songs and win prizes of up to $5000. This initiative tries to promote environmental sustainability in Singapore. I hope to look at this method of how the local government uses music and the performing arts to promote sustainability.
In many ways, Singapore is a very different country compared to Australia, socially, politically and culturally, just to name a few and those differences affect how citizens of each nation view and behave differently towards the same artifacts.
My research will be able to quantify the benefits that the ECO Music Challenge provides to the local and international communities. The next step would be to use design systems and methods to improve on the events success in promoting environmental sustainability.
